Visiting Artists
In 2007 visitors included playwrights Janet Allard, Aditi Kapil and Liz Bussey Fentress, as well as The Playwrights’ Center Jerome Fellows: Sally Oswald, Laura Schellhardt, Cory Hinkle, Deborah Stein and Peter Gil-Sheridan. Other guests included theater director Hayley Finn, dramaturg Elizabeth Bennett and Manhattan Theatre Club Associate Director of Artistic Operations Lisa McNulty visited, as did artistic directors Jack Reuler (Mixed Blood Theatre Company), Ron Peluso (History Theatre) and Matt DiCintio and Jess Finney (Emigrant Theatre). Our first rock concert was performed by members of RuDe Girls, an all-female Clash tribute band. Other residents included visual artists Lisa Arnold and Frank Dixon, anthropologist Janet Keller, blacksmith Charles Keller, and acclaimed author Norah Vincent (Self-Made Man), whose new book is based on her further adventures as a participatory journalist.
