2017 Guided Retreat: Refresh and Reflect in the North Woods

Refresh and Reflect in the North Woods: art, yoga, and coaching for creative renewal

July 10-16, 2017

Deep, Rich, and Bold Retreat for Women Creatives and EntrepreneursJoin artist Susan Armington, yoga instructor Sarah Hansen, and creativity coach Thea Sheldon for a week long retreat to ignite your artistic spark and personal exploration.

Daily activities include art and writing exercises for self-reflection, yoga for full body integration, free time for wandering and immersion in nature, and individualized creativity coaching to discover what pathways want to emerge now.

Susan Armington offers morning studio art and writing exercises which can be continued on your own during the day/evening as desired.  Focus is on using art materials, colored pencils, paint, collage and natural materials, for exploration and creative discovery rather than achieving  a final product. Susan’s teachings include collage, life journey maps, metaphoric landscapes outdoors, and mandalas.  Artists at all levels are invited to join with open minds and eagerness to explore and create.

Sarah Hansen offers morning yoga instruction and a grounding, restorative session in the evening. The morning sessions are designed for those with some experience and flexibility, while the evening sessions welcome gentle relaxation and quiet.

Creativity coaching with Thea helps clear pathways and unleash possibilities for creative life expression. During one-hour private sessions Thea draws from a rich repertoire of techniques, experience and wisdom.

We will gather at the end of each day to explore artistic insights and share discoveries and reflections. The sauna and clearwater lake invite further conversation, relaxation and play.

Participants stay in fully equipped cabins beside the lake, and prepare their own meals.  Kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and a rowboat are available for use.

Let this summer be your time to lean in more deeply to your creative muse, to let go of day-to-day distractions and open to fresh perspectives, all in an atmosphere of warm support and incredible beauty.
